Focus comic free art camp for special needs kids week 85

We celebrated our 85th week of the Focus comic free art camp by teaching our autistic and special needs students the art of Chinese calligraphy. Chinese calligraphy is found in the background scenes of many comics. Our students learned how to read, write and speak Chinese in an artistic way. Check out our highlights film. Our students had fun learning about the art of calligraphy, diversity and Chinese culture.

If you missed the class, here is the tutorial for you to participate:

The art supplies needed this week include:

Hanshi paper, long and short ruler, pencil, ball point pen, sumi brush, sumi ink, paint pallette, glass of water, napkin.
