Focus Comics and Real American Heroes Coffee are proud to announce that Jade Chen has landed a special internship opportunity. Jade Chen is a talented Autistic artist who comes from a law enforcement family.
The internship opportunity includes free one to one in person digital art illustration training on how to design a tribute drawing honoring a hero of our interns choice. Focus comics and Real American Heroes coffee honors local heroes for their courage; sacrifice, selfless service, patriotism, compassion and leadership. Jade chose to draw Focus the autistic super hero and her father who works in law enforcement. In an interview, Jade talked about the importance of the work that law enforcement officers do in society in protecting and serving the community and keeping us safe. She also talked about how her father Chuck Chen is her hero.

The artwork appears on a limited edition Focus Comic Real American Hero coffee bag which will be sold online and at community outreach events in support of young autistic and special needs talent; and local heroes. We thank Law enforcement hero Chuck Chen, for his service.
“I was taken back that I’m her (my daughter’s) hero. It means so much to me. Working in law enforcement can sometimes be a thankless job. But it is good to know that those who love me the most, closest to you really appreciate the work that you do. It humbles me, it makes me proud. It warms my heart that my daughter thinks highly of me and the work that I do each day. I want to promote the work that my daughter has done with Focus Comics in partnership with Real American Heroes Coffee. Try and support this the best you can. It’s a great opportunity here. It shows the great work all the Focus Comic interns do.” [Quote: Law Enforcement Hero Chuck Chen]

Jade looks forward to her first major event representing herself as a professional illustrator intern artist at our Focus Comic booth. The internship opportunity is designed to develop Jades artistic technical drawing abilities, help her build her self confidence and self esteem by giving her a platform to present her art at a mini-comic con environment, and work on her presentation and public speaking skills. We hope to uplift her and give her the best experience being a professional artist intern at our booth. Please join us at Jesse Comics in Glendale, August 3rd from 4-10pm. 5140 W Peoria Ave #100, Glendale, AZ 85302. Jade would love to meet you and receive your support, positive feedback and encouragement. The vocational work experience will have a positive impact on Jade’s life. Jade looks forward accepting autographs at the event.
