We had a successful art workshop last Saturday, where autistic kids made clay super hero coasters using glazes. Other students came in to finish their clay hand print plaques and super hero masks. The students had the opportunity to make new friends similar to them, and spend time with their family members working on a fun family project together.
We also had Elisha Perry join us this week as a an art teacher intern. Elisha was delighted to receive this opportunity to learn valuable skills so that she can fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher, and also inspire kids to fulfill their creative potential.
Yvonne also interviewed some of the kids about their favorite super heroes as a series of films educating people about how kids relate to super heroes.
We are proud supporters of the arts.
