We are three weeks into our ‘Focus love Arizona’ free 5 week art program for autistic and special needs kids.
This week we educated our students on how to draw Focus the autistic super hero, themselves as a super hero and a villain. We asked our students how they would like to perceive themselves, what super powers they would like, why they would like to be a super hero, and what world problems will they solve with their super powers. Our students had fun applying their imagination in designing their super hero costumes in this weeks class.
We incorporated math into the lesson plan by teaching the students about using scale to define depth and distance between characters, we also taught the students how to design super hero characters and draw different facial expressions to depict different feelings.
Please check out their awesome art. We will be adding more scans of our students art on this page when the parents send us the remaining scans.
We very proud of our students skills and abilities.
