Focus Loves Tempe: Free 6 weeks Military vehicle Art program Week 2 Group A+B

** We are still accepting new students until September 10th 2022 for this program**

Check out the highlights film to our “Focus Loves Tempe: Focus Comic free 6 week military art program for autistic and special needs kids and youth”.

Thanks Yvonne Wan (Focus comic creator and Award winning artist); Douglas Hebert (Certified art teacher and Focus comic artist) for teaching our students. Check out our students art for Group A and B.

This week our students drew a one point perspective USS Alabama Battleship. The lesson plan incorporated aspects of math, physics and geometry (Measurements and proportions). Our students were also taught how to depict human emotions through body language (salute) and how to draw Focus the autistic super hero and themselves in the picture. Our students were also encouraged to modify the battleship if they wanted to explore their creativity.

Next week we will draw a Bell AH1 helicopter in class.

Our in person graduation event will take place September 18th at 10am at Justice Comics store in Tempe. Lieutenant JG Dearmon from the US Navy has accepted our invitation to present the certificate of achievement and US Navy prizes to the graduates. We look forward to seeing our students develop their comic artistry on this program.

Check out our students art. We will add more pictures soon as and when the parents submit the remaining scans.

We are still accepting new Tempe students. Sign up to our free art program by reading the programming information and application information here.
