This week our Focus comic creator Yvonne Wan educated our special needs students how to paint Japanese style using sumi e supplies.
Sumi e art has been around for hundreds of years and is celebrated in the world of comics and movies. For example here is an example of Sumi e art being used to promote Wolverine.
In this weeks class our students were introduced to the art of sumi e painting, different brush strokes and how to draw two sumi e cats using two different techniques.
