Focus Comics is proud to announce it will be hosting a free art exhibition and Sabers Awards Ceremony to Honor 30 local fire fighters within Maricopa on Friday December 13th, 10am.
The event is open to the general public. The event features portraits of the fire fighters by award winning artist Yvonne Wan. Yvonne Wan is a certified social cultural anthropologist and the creator of Focus comics, a humanitarian project that champions autistic and special needs kids and local heroes.
Focus Comics will have the esteemed Luke Air Force Base Honor Guard attending the event. This dedicated group of individuals, represent the very best of the military, stands as a symbol of the nation’s respect, commitment to service, and unwavering tribute to those who bravely protect and serve our nation.
The Honor Guard will perform the presentation of colors during the National Anthem, and Saber Ceremony. The fire fighters will walk under the Saber Arch whilst holding their portraits and certificates. We will have a broadcast film ethnographer and photographer at the event who will help our heroes capture their special day.
Our Heroes will be gifted the portraits on stage and will be presented with a certificate of recognition for their contribution to society. Three of the Fire Fighters will receive a prestigious Focus Comics Living Legends Trophy Award; and we will also be handing out 2 Focus Comics Public Service Trophy Award.
