We had 55 students participate in our Focus comic hero program this September creating 141 drawings as part of our online exhibit honoring local heroes, their vehicles and aircraft’s and special needs talent. Check out our highlights film and our students art work!
Thank you Yvonne Wan, Focus comic creator and free art camp teacher for coloring all our students certificates of achievements featuring our students art as a reward. The certificates resemble a Focus comic cover. Many thanks Rural Metro Fire for printing the certificates for this weekends event.
We look forward to celebrating our students accomplishments this Saturday at Samurai Comics in Glendale, where our students will celebrate with our local heroes. Special guests attending include: Luke Air Force Base, US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, MCSO and Rural Metro Fire. We also thank USCG for sending us gifts for our students.
The event will kick start with our special guest Airman Gabriel Howell who will sing the National Anthem on stage. Followed by special presentations from various military and first responder agencies who will also have fun activities for our students. We will then have a class photo of our graduates with our local heroes so they can remember their extraordinary day. We will then present our graduates with their custom certificates of achievements featuring their art that resemble a Focus comic cover; and special gifts to celebrate their accomplishments. Gifts include hero merchandize and challenge coins (medals).
There will be complimentary hotdogs courtesy of Rural Metro Fire.
Graduates and their family will be given the opportunity to explore special hero vehicles including the Lenco Bear Cat SWAT vehicle (Subject to availability), equipment and technology.
