We are celebrating Matthew Goebel, our 11 year old autistic intern’s variant cover book release this Sunday 1 August 2021 at 2pm – 3pm. Please join us in celebration of this amazing achievement in getting his art work on his local comic book shelf. Matthew will see his Focus comic variant cover comic on the shelf along sider Spiderman and Batman this Sunday at 2pm! He looks forward to signing autographs at the store.
Synopsis of comic:
This action adventure hero comic book is based in Arizona, USA and The Forbidden City in China. Focus, one of the world’s first autistic superheroes joins the Secret Lineage, an affiliate superhero team. Together, they save the world from total destruction from evil zombies and spirits during the Hungry Ghost Festival in China. The story explores Chinese mythology, including the Nine sons of the Dragon and the Nine-dragon wall which is a spirit wall in the Imperial Palace In China. See the superheroes and the Terracotta Army Spirits in full action in this book as we get to meet Focus for the first time in this first edition book!
Books are $10 each. We recommend you purchase the English and German issue of Focus comic as a bundle so you can appreciate the comic, the artwork and possibly learn a new language! His art appears on the Cover of the German issue of Focus comic and his art appears as a comic strip on the community page.
Proceeds from the book will go towards Focus comic, the social initiative including the free art camp supporting kids with special needs.
