This week our students participated in a free Arizona Diamondbacks and Kansas City Royals tribute art class in support of autistic and special needs kids. The students learned how to draw Focus the autistic super hero, the art of story telling, character development and how to use new mediums . Our students had fun using pencils, Royal talens Bruynseel fineliners, Royal Talens pallette knives, Royal Talens Ecoline markers and paints. The kids learned how to adjust the thickness of their pen strokes and learned inking technique including spot fills and linear hatching. The lesson plan incorporated math physics and geometry. Our students learned about primary and secondary colors and how to mix different shades of color using the palette knives. The students also worked on their presentation skills. We are proud to champion young autistic talent.
