“It’s been an amazing year supporting children in need and honoring those who keep us safe through my humanitarian project Focus Comic. Looking back at all the Good we have achieved as a community since the start of this project 10 years ago – it has been an extra-ordinary journey watching these kids grow up and develop into healthy young adults. Focus comic students come from all over the valley from Goodyear to Glendale and learn about art creation as well as liberty, justice, freedom and how public servants play a role in maintaining these ideals. The goal of Focus comic is for every participating autistic and special needs youth to see their full potential through art expression. This project carries a small beacon of hope to children in need. We are changing the very fabric of society in terms of removing the stigma associated with autism and disabilities and giving hope to others of a brighter future. We are changing the world one child at a time. I want to thank everyone who have sent their love and support in keeping this mission based project going. Every little bit of encouragement and support makes a big difference. Please keep sending your continued love and encouragement. Thank you Grace Walk Church for sending Alana Salazar to help us with the photography at our most recent event, and pastor Reggie Holmes in singing the National Anthem. Please visit focuscomic.com or email me at [email protected] to support our organization. We have a 501c3 charity fiscal sponsor. Merry Christmas and a happy new year.” Yvonne Wan.
