Congratulations to Paul Shupe of Mesa fire department for being one of our Living Legends Award recipients of 2025. The Living Legends Art exhibit and Awards honor fire fighters, first responders and airmen for their courage; sacrifice, selfless service, patriotism, kindness, compassion and leadership.

Award winning artist Yvonne Wan is in the process of creating 31 water color portraits in honor of 31 local fire fighters / first responders and Airmen for their service. We look forward to the art exhibit and award ceremony. Attending the event include Luke Air Force Honor Guard who will perform the presentation of colors during the National Anthem, and prestigious US Air Force Saber ceremony. Award recipients will receive a complimentary water color portrait by Yvonne Wan, plus a certificate of commendation signed by the honorable Arizona State Governor Hobbs.
We presented Paul with his Living Legends award ahead of the event. Paul and his family feels honored to receive the special recognition for his contribution to the community. Thank you to all the mayors, representatives from multiple agencies for signing Paul Shupes Living Legends certificate of honor to celebrate his life time achievements. He also loves the 11 challenges coins from multiple agencies across Maricopa. Paul thanks the community for sending their love, respect and honor. This award is deeply meaningful to him and his family. Signatures on his certificate of honor include Mayor of Mesa, Mayor of Litchfield Park, Fire chiefs and agency staff at Rural metro firefighters; Sun City Fire, Surprise Fire dept, Glendale Fire dept, Glendale Police, Phoenix Police, AZ fire medical, Luke air force base Fire Station, Buckeye fire station, Good year Fire deprtment, Mesa Fire Dept & Focus comics.
























Unfortunately due to Paul’s declining health he is unlikely to be able to attend the awards ceremony. A family member / representative maybe able to attend on the day. We will provide more info as the event approaches.
