Focus comic advanced digital art class

This week, we advanced our autistic interns knowledge of digital art in preparation for their art exhibit at the end of the month, honoring local heroes.

Our students learned how to interpret a reference picture into a comic style digital drawing, paying attention to process and details. Our students were given a check list to ensure the picture depicted the Luke Air Force fire department reps holding Paul Shupes portrait and certificate of honor. The reference picture was taken last week as we collected challenge coins and signatures from all over Maricopa to honor the life time achievements of fire fighter Paul Shupe of Mesa Fire fighters. We presented Paul with his Living Legends award early, due to his declining health.

Thank you Yvonne for volunteering her time in gathering signatures and challenge coins from different agencies last week, for Paul Shupe. Thank you to everyone who showed their love and support towards Paul by signing the certificate of honor and adding challenge coins to his Living Legends awards. Thank you to those who protect and serve the community. Thank you to our autistic interns for honoring our local heroes through their talents. We look forward to exhibiting their digital art at the art exhibit at the end of the month.
